Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arne Kjolby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Hogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kjolby comes into the arena with Killing in the name of... blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arne Kjolby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, JD Hogg! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kjolby will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kjolby slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kjolby accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kjolby throwing strikes but missing. Kjolby trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Kjolby forces his way into half guard. Hogg is trying to maintain the position but Kjolby is very close to passing his half guard. Kjolby seems to be working for a kimura but Hogg defends the submission attempt. Hogg is not content to let Kjolby control the position. Kjolby stalling away here and it's allowed Hogg to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kjolby trying to control but Hogg is working from the bottom. Kjolby throws an elbow that misses. Hogg uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kjolby's guard. Nice move by Hogg! Kjolby is adopting a defensive guard. Kjolby is trying to keep Hogg in close.
Hogg passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogg working away. Kjolby gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hogg prevents Kjolby from improving his position. Hogg is stalling here. Kjolby is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hogg seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kjolby has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Hogg defending against the ground and pound. Kjolby fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kjolby has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kjolby scoring with strikes but Hogg is staying in there. Kjolby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kjolby moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hogg has worked his arm free - good work by Hogg!
The strikes coming from Kjolby are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Kjolby looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kjolby tries to score with some ground and pound. Hogg controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kjolby shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hogg manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kjolby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hogg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kjolby manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kjolby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kjolby trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kjolby throws an elbow that misses. Hogg uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kjolby's guard. Nice move by Hogg!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kjolby wants to sweep here but Hogg controlling him for the moment. Kjolby is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hogg can do to turn this around? Kjolby looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hogg passes into half guard.
Hogg is taking a breather. Kjolby says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kjolby wants to improve his position but Hogg is controlling well.
Kjolby is looking to get back to full guard here but Hogg has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogg is looking to take a break and control but Kjolby is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kjolby prevents Hogg from improving position. Kjolby being controlled for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kjolby tries to buck Hogg off but Hogg is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hogg is staying tight to Kjolby's torso, preventing him from escaping. Arne Kjolby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kjolby tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kjolby being controlled for a moment. Kjolby is looking to regain half guard here but Hogg keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but JD Hogg will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Hogg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kjolby but Kjolby pushes him off and we're back to square one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hogg. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hogg enables Kjolby to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hogg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hogg wants to get back to his feet but Kjolby passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kjolby is pressing down on Hogg's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hogg is holding on for now. Kjolby seems to be working for a kimura but Hogg defends the submission attempt. Kjolby wants to control but Hogg is keeping him busy. Kjolby thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hogg's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogg avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kjolby.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kjolby scores with a takedown into Hogg's guard. Hogg wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kjolby manages to pass to side control. Kjolby controlling the action here. Hogg wants to control but Kjolby is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kjolby thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hogg's head. Hogg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kjolby is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kjolby is trying to control the action in half guard but Hogg is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kjolby with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kjolby is pressing down on Hogg's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hogg is holding on for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Arne Kjolby showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kjolby has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
