Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richie Barlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richie Barlow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Diaz! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barlow lands a right hook to the body.
Barlow feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Barlow changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Barlow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Diaz is trying to control the position but Barlow postures up. Barlow engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Diaz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Barlow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz wants to sweep here but Barlow controlling him for the moment. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barlow showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Barlow lands with a shot to the body. Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barlow tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Barlow's guard. Barlow is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. A bit of stalling here from Barlow.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Barlow preventing the sweep. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barlow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barlow has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barlow defends well. Barlow looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barlow preventing the sweep. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Barlow from controlling successfully. Barlow is stalling in the full guard. Barlow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barlow trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barlow is aware though and is defending well. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barlow trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barlow's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hector Diaz will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Diaz is trying to get an arm triangle but Barlow is defending well. Barlow parries the strikes from Diaz easily there. Diaz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barlow to escape.
Diaz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Barlow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barlow parries the strikes from Diaz easily there. Diaz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barlow to escape.
Diaz in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Barlow is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hector Diaz! A relieved looking Hector Diaz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
