Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Antonia Bailey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitchell Brown! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown tries for a takedown but Bailey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bailey instigates a clinch. Brown is trying to drag Bailey to the mat but Bailey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Brown drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bailey gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Antonia Bailey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitchell Brown. Brown misses with a hook from the clinch. Bailey goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Bailey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bailey stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bailey defends it nicely.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bailey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bailey has picked Brown up and slammed him! Brown can't keep hold of the triangle and Bailey manages to pass to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bailey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Check out the look on Bailey's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Bailey lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brown down.
Bailey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground. Brown is looking for a sweep. Brown looks winded! Bailey looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Bailey has control of an arm but Brown manages to advance to Bailey's back! Bailey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Brown gets his hands free as Bailey looks to control. Brown doesn't have the hooks in and Bailey manages to turn into his guard.
Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bailey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bailey defends it easily. Brown is looking for a triangle but Bailey pushes his legs off easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bailey scores with a couple of nice shots. Antonia Bailey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown wants to improve his position but Bailey is controlling well.
Brown has hold of Bailey's hands but Bailey slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bailey is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown taking some punishment here, with Bailey in his half guard. Bailey drops an elbow to the side of Brown's head. Bailey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bailey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Bailey eventually gives up the hold. Bailey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around? Bailey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bailey is in the full mount, landing strikes. Brown is squirming around, avoiding Bailey's attempts to control the action. Brown manages to regain half guard. Good work. Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bailey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bailey gets back to half guard. Bailey is trying is best to control the position here. Brown is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bailey sees it coming and defends easily. Brown drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bailey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brown has Bailey in his guard. Bailey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bailey is in close to Brown's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bailey connects with a couple of short punches. Bailey distracts Brown with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Bailey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brown.
