The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haapasaari cracks a nice hook into James's ribs.
A head kick by James misses
and Haapasaari counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Haapasaari.

Haapasaari thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Haapasaari lands a couple of elbows.

James tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haapasaari wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haapasaari is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but James is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

James is breathing heavily.
Haapasaari passes to full mount! That's big trouble for James!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haapasaari lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Haapasaari! James is hurt baaadly! Haapasaari is firing away with more strikes - James is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
