Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox has chosen Hardrock Hallelujah {Lordi} as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama thows a left - swing and a miss!
Fox ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
No joy there for Akiyama, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Akiyama connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fox momentarily.
Akiyama swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Akiyama fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Akiyama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Akiyama misses with an uppercut. Fox saw that one coming.

Fox dodges the punch combination from Akiyama.

Akiyama throws a series of punches but Fox moves out of range.

Akiyama rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Akiyama lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Akiyama throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Akiyama throws an overhand right that lands on Fox's shoulder, as Fox tries to avoid the shot.
Akiyama throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Fox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Akiyama is fending him off so far but Fox persists. Nope, Akiyama circles away and we're back to standing.

Akiyama tries to bum rush Fox with a series of wild strikes but Fox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Akiyama throws out the jab.
Akiyama is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Nice sprawl there from Akiyama as Fox shoots in.
Jose Akiyama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Fox.
Akiyama shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fox counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Akiyama!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
