Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Salama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sami Salama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in but Salama avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Salama is looking to escape.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Santos moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Salama has worked his arm free - good work by Salama!

Santos swings around for an armbar but Salama sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Santos's guard.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up with Salama, looking for a takedown. Santos pushes Salama against the cage but Salama circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Junior Santos will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Salama thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Santos if he has to take too many more of those.
Santos seems to have got his legs back now.
Salama is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Santos hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
