Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Amitraghat Nagarjun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagarjun comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac – Scared Straight. Dust has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amitraghat Nagarjun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dust misses with a double jab
and Nagarjun counters with a thumping low kick.
Nagarjun lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dust connects with a solid leg kick.
Nagarjun throws a low kick, looking for Dust's leg but Dust calmly moves out of range.
Dust moves away from the strike by Nagarjun.
Nagarjun definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dust swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dust throws a looping overhand right but Nagarjun ducks down to avoid it.
Dust has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nagarjun.
Decent striking displayed by Nagarjun there.
Nagarjun connects with a body shot.
Nagarjun sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dust has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Nagarjun gets caught napping as Dust dives in and scores a takedown. Nagarjun manages to retain guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dust wants to control from the top but Nagarjun keeps moving.

Nagarjun wants to control but Dust is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dust takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dust is taking a breather. Nagarjun says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dust drops an elbow to the side of Nagarjun's head.

Dust passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Nagarjun!
Nagarjun tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nagarjun takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Nagarjun is looking to improve his position but Dust isn't that keen on the idea.
Dust has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nagarjun's face.
The referee warns Nagarjun that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Nagarjun regains half guard.
Nagarjun is not content to let Dust control the position.
Nagarjun is looking for a sweep. Dust is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dust has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nagarjun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dust seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nagarjun does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nagarjun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dust is working away from the top position though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Star Dust dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nagarjun takes a swing at Dust's ribcage but misses.
Nagarjun slips a jab and a cross from Dust.
It looked like Nagarjun wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dust tries to bum rush Nagarjun with a series of wild strikes but Nagarjun uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nagarjun is looking to counter punch.
Nagarjun connects with an inside leg kick.
Nagarjun has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dust.
Dust throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dust throws a right hand that Nagarjun ducks under and follows up with a left that Nagarjun also avoids with ease.

and Dust counters with a single leg into guard. Nagarjun didn't expect that.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nagarjun has momentary wrist control but Dust slips an elbow through the middle.

Nagarjun tries to lock up and control but Dust gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Star Dust showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dust lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dust misses with a low kick.
Dust misses the shot to the body.
Donk. Dust catches Nagarjun right on the button with a cross.
Dust looks to land a body kick but Nagarjun moved away.
Nagarjun fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dust is out of range.
Nagarjun lands with a shot to the body.

Dust shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dust was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Nagarjun's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nagarjun is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dust is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Star Dust comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dust has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
