Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richie Gahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Quick struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gahan closes the distance and clinches.
Gahan lands with a short shot to the head.
Gahan manages to break the clinch.
Gahan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Quick throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gahan lands with a hook. Quick tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Quick takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Donk. Gahan catches Quick right on the button with a cross.
Quick is rocked!
Quick has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gahan.
Quick is still on wobbly legs! Can Gahan finish him?
Gahan walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Quick drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Gahan swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Quick's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
