The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carlson drops Closov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Closov looks back up at him and smiles so Carlson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Carlson throws an overhand right that lands on Closov's shoulder, as Closov tries to avoid the shot.
Closov is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlson finish him?
Closov walks straight into a right hand from Carlson - that's dropped him! Carlson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Closov from any more punishment! Closov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
