Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denzel Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denzel Slater has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jewell Blackwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Denzel Slater! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blackwell tries to keep at a distance but Slater has taken the fight into the clinch. Blackwell has had enough of the clinch but Slater keeps him there for the moment. Slater pulls Blackwell into guard.
Blackwell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slater working for a triangle but Blackwell defends it easily.
Slater is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell connects with a couple of short punches. Slater is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blackwell defends well. Blackwell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Blackwell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Blackwell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Slater is trying to control the position but Blackwell postures up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Slater isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blackwell stacks Slater on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blackwell! Slater struggling a bit here. Slater might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blackwell haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Slater is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Blackwell just content to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slater closes the distance and pushes Blackwell back into the cage. Slater wants to break the clinch but can't.
Slater scores with a knee to the head.
Still in the clinch, Slater scores with a nice short uppercut. Blackwell tries to pull guard but Slater won't allow it.
A right hook to the body lands for Blackwell.

Blackwell is pushing Slater up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blackwell is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Slater stalling in the clinch but Blackwell improves position. Blackwell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Slater walks away with a smile on his face. Blackwell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Blackwell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Slater fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Slater looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Slater closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denzel Slater dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Slater lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blackwell's sensitive parts. Blackwell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Slater. Slater circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Denzel Slater has been cut. Slater darts in and clinches Blackwell up against the cage. Slater tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Slater tries to pull guard but Blackwell forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Slater throws a punch but it's blocked by Blackwell. Slater is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jewell Blackwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denzel Slater. Blackwell manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Slater trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom. Blackwell is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Blackwell has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blackwell has his foot on Slater's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slater works his way back into a safe position though. Slater is fighting to break Blackwell's control of his arms but Blackwell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Slater tries to stand but Blackwell is controlling from the bottom. Slater throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blackwell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Slater gets a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slater doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Blackwell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slater. Slater is breathing heavily. Slater fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blackwell, pushing him back against the cage. Slater is looking for a takedown. Blackwell manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Slater breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blackwell tries to clinch up. Slater fails with the takedown. Blackwell feinted with a counter takedown. Slater shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blackwell sprawls well. Blackwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slater gets slowly back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Slater closes the distance and clinches up with Blackwell, looking for a takedown. Slater pushes Blackwell against the cage but Blackwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Blackwell is looking to clinch but Slater is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jewell Blackwell dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Denzel Slater's cut. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Blackwell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slater looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Blackwell scores with punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Slater's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Blackwell taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Blackwell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell is staying tight to Slater's torso, preventing him from escaping. Blackwell works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Blackwell moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Blackwell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Slater to see if he's OK. Slater on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Blackwell working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slater is trying to improve his position. Slater takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Blackwell slows the pace down. Blackwell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. This is a sustained period of stalling by Blackwell.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Blackwell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Slater's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell stands up from guard. Let's bang! Blackwell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slater can do to turn this around? Slater throws a right and a left that Blackwell avoids nicely. A cross from Slater lands. Blackwell tries to clinch but Slater moves out of range. Slater tries for a takedown but Blackwell circles away easily and Blackwell counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Blackwell throws a right hand that Slater ducks under and follows up with a left that Slater also avoids with ease. Blackwell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blackwell showed some decent athleticism there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slater is looking for a sweep. Blackwell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Blackwell is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Jewell Blackwell showed his dominance in that final round. I think Blackwell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
