Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buttler tries to close the distance and clinch but Gozu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Gozu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gozu gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Buttler is looking to clinch but Gozu is avoiding it.
Buttler scores with a hook to the body. Gozu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gozu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buttler throws out the jab.
Gozu tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gozu keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Gozu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Buttler lands a glancing blow to the side of Gozu's head.
Gozu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buttler.

Buttler moves in looking to clinch but Gozu pushes him off.

Gozu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Buttler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Buttler lands a nice shot that snaps Gozu's head back.

and Gozu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Buttler's guard.

Buttler wants to sweep but no luck.
Gozu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Gozu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gozu pushes down on Buttler's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Buttler tries to roll over but Gozu keeps him under control.

Buttler wants to improve his position but Gozu is controlling well.

Gozu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Gozu is working for a kimura but Buttler is defending it quite comfortably.
Buttler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gozu on the ground.
Gozu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Buttler could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gozu has cracked it and Buttler is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gozu!
