Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liam Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Tunney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Tunney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy Tunney! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin looks to clinch and Tunney counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Martin scores with a head kick. Tunney tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Tunney fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tunney slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Tunney closes the distance and clinches. Tunney tries to break free but Martin pushes him back against the cage. Tunney goes for a takedown in the clinch but Martin prevents it.

Martin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tunney's efforts to push away. Martin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tunney has managed to clinch.
Martin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tunney scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Tunney shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Martin defends it nicely. Liam Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Tunney. Martin gets a clinch. Martin successfully pulls guard.
Martin has his foot on Tunney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tunney works his way back into a safe position though. Tunney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tunney postures up and lands a big shot to Martin's brow. Tunney passes easily into side control. Nice work. Martin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tunney on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A control attempt from Martin but he's now mounted! Tunney lands with some strikes. Tunney has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Martin's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Martin in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Tunney lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tunney landing strikes from the mount and Martin is in trouble! Tunney prevents Martin from getting the reversal. Tunney lands a big shot there that rocks Martin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tunney blocks Martin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Tunney postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Martin looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tunney misses with an attempted mid kick.

Tunney rushes Martin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tunney has Martin pushed against the cage. Martin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Martin thumps Tunney with a low kick. Martin shoots in for a takedown but Tunney shows good takedown defense. Tunney shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tunney showed some decent athleticism there. Martin has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Tunney is on him like a limpet, forcing Martin back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roy Tunney dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tunney scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Martin pushes Tunney off and gets back to his feet. Tunney looking to score a takedown here. Martin is defending well but Tunney drives through and ends up in Martin's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tunney decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Martin, up you get! Martin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Martin leaves Tunney with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tunney has a takedown stuffed. Tunney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Martin pinned against the cage. Martin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Liam Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Tunney. Tunney is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tunney blocks a head kick by Martin.
Tunney tries to move into range but Martin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Martin gets a clinch. Tunney tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tunney gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Martin regains guard.

Tunney with a nice head shot there. Tunney is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Martin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Martin has escaped and now he's on top! Martin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tunney pulls Martin in to control the position. Tunney looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Martin looking to sit in guard and control but Tunney gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tunney passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tunney controls the position. Tunney tries to move to mount but Martin blocks the move with his legs. Martin wants to control but Tunney postures up. Martin wants to get back to his feet but Tunney drags him back down. Roy Tunney has got the better of the ground game so far. Martin can't do much from the bottom here. Martin is being controlled here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Martin takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Martin tries to buck Tunney off but Tunney is having none of it. Martin being controlled for a moment. Tunney scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Martin to see if he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Liam Martin will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Martin gets tackled into the cage by Tunney. Tunney maintains the clinch. Tunney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Martin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tunney's waist but Tunney gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martin off to one side. Martin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tunney. A jab lands there for Martin. The fight stays on the outside here - Tunney looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tunney has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tunney tries for a takedown but Martin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Martin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tunney as he jumps to the side. A countering left hand to the body from Tunney misses. Tunney tries a head kick but it misses.
As Tunney tries to get set, Martin tries to push him back and clinch up but Tunney manages to avoid the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tunney counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Tunney forces Martin back against the cage and clinches. Tunney gets through Martin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Tunney effectively controlling the action here. Tunney can't break the clinch.
Tunney jumps guard but Martin stands there with Tunney around his waist. Tunney gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Liam Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Tunney. Martin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tunney to keep the fight standing. Tunney decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin trying to control the position from guard on top but Tunney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tunney seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Martin postures up and lands a big shot to Tunney's brow. Tunney has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Martin preventing the sweep. Tunney trying to control the position.

Tunney takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tunney wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tunney is trying to maintain the position but Martin is very close to passing his half guard. Tunney on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tunney wants to control but Martin is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tunney makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tunney. Martin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tunney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tunney is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A punch combination from Martin misses. Tunney closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martin to the mat! Martin manages to get full guard. Tunney looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! Roy Tunney comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tunney has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
