Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shap McGrubedale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sixx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sixx has chosen Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx feints and then cracks McGrubedale's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McGrubedale down.
McGrubedale shoots for a double leg takedown but Sixx sprawls well. He's pushed McGrubedale's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sixx moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sixx fails to land the takedown.
McGrubedale changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
McGrubedale fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sixx instigates a clinch.
Sixx utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Sixx breaks the clinch.
McGrubedale looks to land a combination but Sixx avoids it well.
Sixx steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from McGrubedale.
McGrubedale misses with a takedown attempt
and Sixx counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sixx .
Sixx content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Sixx taking a breather.
Sixx scores a nice knee to the body.
McGrubedale looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Come on Sixx - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Sixx throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Sixx stalls.
Sixx pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McGrubedale gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shap McGrubedale. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGrubedale is breathing heavily.
McGrubedale on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sixx . Sixx obviously looking to wear him down.
McGrubedale shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sixx is trying to stand back up but McGrubedale is controlling him
Sixx is looking for a sweep. McGrubedale is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sixx makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sixx .

Sixx is pulling down on McGrubedale's head to control his posture.
McGrubedale wants to control from the top but Sixx keeps moving.
McGrubedale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sixx pushes McGrubedale off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McGrubedale throws a head kick that misses.
Sixx with the counter takedown but McGrubedale avoids it easily.
McGrubedale has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sixx .
Ryan Sixx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGrubedale takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sixx bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sixx digs a good body shot into McGrubedale's ribs.
Sixx lands a nice looking body kick.
Sixx thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McGrubedale if he has to take too many more of those.
Sixx connects with a vicious head kick that knocks McGrubedale to the floor! Sixx dives in looking for the finish!
McGrubedale is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sixx gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Oh McGrubedale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Sixx ! McGrubedale is out on his feet! Sixx rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - McGrubedale is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! McGrubedale is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Sixx !
Ryan Sixx tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Shap McGrubedale stepped up to the mic, saying 'We will winning in future near'.
