And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupertazzi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Lupertazzi backs off Filipovic throws a huge counter combo but Lupertazzi manages to avoid it all.
Lupertazzi fails to land with a series of punches.
Lupertazzi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Filipovic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lupertazzi, pushing him back against the cage.
Filipovic is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lupertazzi misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lupertazzi is looking to break free of the clinch but Filipovic has double underhooks.
Lupertazzi tries to break the clinch but Filipovic is controlling the position.
Lupertazzi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Filipovic is working for takedown but Lupertazzi is calmly controlling the position for now.

Filipovic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Filipovic manages to end up in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lupertazzi wants to control but Filipovic postures up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lupertazzi is trying to control Filipovic's posture but Filipovic avoids it.

Filipovic swings around for an armbar but Lupertazzi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Filipovic's guard.
Filipovic looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Filipovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lupertazzi tries to free his leg and advance position but Filipovic is retaining full guard.

Filipovic has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lupertazzi is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lupertazzi.

Filipovic gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lupertazzi regains guard.
Lupertazzi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Filipovic controls the pace.

Filipovic has hold of one of Lupertazzi's legs. Lupertazzi is fighting the takedown attempt but Filipovic gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Lupertazzi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Filipovic works his foot free and advances to mount.
Lupertazzi is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Lupertazzi is trying to escape the mount but Filipovic keeps good control and instead manages to take Lupertazzi's back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
