Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Daath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Jamison is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricardo Jamison!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jamison shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jamison showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jamison seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Jamison might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jamison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

My spies in Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) inform me that Jamison has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Let's hope that Jamison has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daath is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jamison dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Daath's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jamison connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Daath some visible discomfort.

Jamison has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Daath is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jamison yanks on the arm and Daath is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jamison.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ricardo Jamison!
Ricardo Jamison really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Namunamu Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
