Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Zajcev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Martin Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Zajcev! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zajcev takes the fight into the clinch. Zajcev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've been told by Adams's head coaches at White's ELITE Fitness Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Zajcev has Adams up against the cage in a clinch.
Zajcev scores with a shoulder strike. The referee is keeping an eye on Zajcev - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Zajcev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Adams lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Adams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Adams lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zajcev circles away quickly and effectively. Adams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zajcev lands a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Adams lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Zajcev throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Zajcev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adams, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zajcev has Adams pressed against the cage, preventing Adams from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Zajcev has a couple of punches blocked by Adams.
Zajcev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Zajcev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Zajcev moves into the clinch. Zajcev will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Adams up against the cage. Zajcev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Zajcev slips under a jab. Zajcev takes the fight into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zajcev.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Zajcev. Zajcev stalling.
Zajcev manages to break the clinch.
Adam Zajcev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zajcev on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zajcev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Adams but Adams pushes him off and we're back to square one. Zajcev throws a nice looking combination but Adams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. As Zajcev tries to get set, Adams tries to push him back and clinch up but Zajcev manages to avoid the attempt. Zajcev gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zajcev takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Zajcev pulls guard. Adams advances to half guard. Adams stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Zajcev to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zajcev dives in and grabs Adams's left leg, looking for a takedown. Adams pushes down on Zajcev's head and hops out. Zajcev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Adams tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Adams blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Zajcev fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Martin Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Zajcev. Adams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zajcev is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Adams to the mat. Adams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adams has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Zajcev should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Adams has tightened it up now! Zajcev should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
