Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaka KaSolomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). KaSolomon comes into the arena with 2-pac "Hit 'Em Up" blaring out of the sound system. Richmond has chosen Dont Stop Me Now as his entrance music. Charles Richmond is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaka KaSolomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Richmond!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

KaSolomon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
KaSolomon shoots in for a double leg but Richmond sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Richmond doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Richmond tried to land a shot to the body but connects with KaSolomon's elbow.

Richmond rushes KaSolomon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

KaSolomon has been working on his balance at Abobomination Training, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Richmond.

Richmond seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

so KaSolomon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Richmond really doesn't want to stay on the ground with KaSolomon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

KaSolomon is really struggling to control Richmond but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Richmond. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

KaSolomon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Richmond is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richmond can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

KaSolomon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
KaSolomon thows a huge punch but Richmond dodges it nicely.
Richmond is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of KaSolomon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take KaSolomon's back!

Well Richmond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
