Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darrick Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur DragonHeart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DragonHeart has chosen Heart of Courage as his entrance music. Arthur DragonHeart will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DragonHeart shoots in but no luck this time.
DragonHeart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Abbott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DragonHeart tries to counter with a clinch but Abbott shakes him off and moves away.
DragonHeart shoots in looking for a takedown. Abbott tries to sprawl out of it but DragonHeart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abbott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abbott tried to counter with a leg kick but DragonHeart avoided it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

DragonHeart is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
DragonHeart slips a jab and a cross from Abbott.
DragonHeart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abbott tries to avoid it but DragonHeart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abbott to the ground. Abbott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

DragonHeart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Abbott could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
DragonHeart fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Abbott avoids it really well and circles away.
Abbott seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DragonHeart tries to close the distance and clinch but Abbott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Abbott scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

DragonHeart has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Abbott is on him like a limpet, forcing DragonHeart back against the cage.
DragonHeart tries to break free but Abbott pushes him back against the cage.

Abbott tightens his grip and picks DragonHeart up, before dumping him to the ground. DragonHeart manages to land in guard.
Abbott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

DragonHeart has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Abbott has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Abbott gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, DragonHeart regains guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Abbott tries to sprawl but DragonHeart drives through with a takedown into half guard.
DragonHeart takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Abbott is trying to get back to full guard.
DragonHeart is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Abbott!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abbott is squirming around, avoiding DragonHeart's attempts to control the action.

DragonHeart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
DragonHeart is continuing to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Arthur DragonHeart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

DragonHeart might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Abbott haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

DragonHeart wants to take a breather but Abbott is having none of it.

I would just about give that final round to Arthur DragonHeart.
