Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akili Dunsmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akili Dunsmore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Project Fighter! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunsmore clinches up against the cage. Fighter misses with an elbow strike.
Fighter jumps guard and drags Dunsmore to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fighter keeping moving, preventing Dunsmore from controlling successfully. Dunsmore pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fighter is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunsmore is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunsmore trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dunsmore has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fighter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dunsmore avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Fighter lands a shoulder strike. Dunsmore has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fighter uses from the top position. Fighter won't allow Dunsmore to sweep him here. Dunsmore is working hard here to advance position. Fighter wants to control from the top but Dunsmore keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunsmore working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Fighter has passed into half guard!
Fighter sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fighter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dunsmore sees it coming and defends easily. Fighter controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunsmore tries to kick Fighter off but Fighter keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Dunsmore is not content to let Fighter control the position. Fighter is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Dunsmore tries to roll over but Fighter keeps him under control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dunsmore throws a shot to the body.
Dunsmore gets the takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunsmore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fighter to his feet. Fighter looks winded! Dunsmore shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fighter as he avoids it easily. Dunsmore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dunsmore lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fighter is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dunsmore dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fighter throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dunsmore decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akili Dunsmore dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Fighter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fighter drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dunsmore defends it well. Dunsmore gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dunsmore tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fighter just stands there and leans against the cage. Fighter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dunsmore smiles and moves away.
Dunsmore lands a lovely overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunsmore shoots in and drives through. Fighter sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akili Dunsmore. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dunsmore throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Fighter counters by moving into the clinch. Dunsmore breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunsmore lands with a good body shot. Dunsmore moves into the clinch. Dunsmore is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter can do to turn this around? Fighter is working for takedown but Dunsmore is calmly controlling the position for now. Fighter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dunsmore smiles and moves away.
Fighter slaps away a takedown attempt from Dunsmore, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fighter takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fighter is breathing heavily. Dunsmore darts in and clinches Fighter up against the cage. Fighter tries to pull guard but Dunsmore holds him up against the cage and eventually Fighter drops back down to his feet.
Dunsmore is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fighter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunsmore manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Dunsmore wants to hit a switch here but Fighter passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dunsmore there! Dunsmore has given up his back here.
Akili Dunsmore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Fighter gets his hands free as Dunsmore looks to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dunsmore's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Dunsmore just trying to survive but Fighter is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Fighter has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Dunsmore! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fighter gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Project Fighter!
