Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thaddeus Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joaquin Silva! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva darts in and clinches Bell up against the cage. Bell tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
A head punch on the inside from Silva fails to land. Silva is stalling here.
Silva tries to break free but Bell pushes him back against the cage. Bell displaying some good clinch control by pressing Silva up against the cage. Bell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva is working for takedown but Bell is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is trying to pull guard but Bell turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Bell is struggling to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Silva is working for takedown but Bell is calmly controlling the position for now. Thaddeus Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Silva. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Silva is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bell to keep the fight standing. Silva ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Silva wants to sweep here but Bell controlling him for the moment. Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bell wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Bell content to stall in guard here. Bell distracts Silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bell thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Bell misses with a head shot. Silva uses the momentum to regain guard. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to stand but Bell is controlling the position. Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Silva looking to control but Bell passes into half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva is looking to improve his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Thaddeus Bell will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva with a poor takedown and Bell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bell. Bell will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Silva up against the cage. Silva blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Silva jumps guard.

Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bell landing with the ground and pound. Bell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Joaquin Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva moves into range and clinches up with Bell. Bell is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now. Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Bell shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Bell pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bell did well to prevent Silva getting side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bell kicks off Silva and gets to his feet. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bell swivels and escapes. Thaddeus Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Silva. Silva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bell defends well and Silva ends up having to push Bell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bell drops down looking for a counter takedown but Silva sprawls and moves away. Silva shoots and misses letting Bell counter with a right hand. Silva has a takedown stuffed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell gets the takedown into side control. Bell decides to stand back up. Bell steps back and let's Silva get back to his feet. Bell closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage. Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.

Bell works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Silva controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself. Bell is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Bell is proving a slippery customer.

Thaddeus Bell dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Joaquin Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva. Thaddeus Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throws a right and a left that Bell avoids nicely. Silva looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well. Bell throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Silva was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bell tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bell to the ground. Bell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bell clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage. Bell just leaning against Silva, taking a breather. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Silva jumps guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bell throwing strikes but missing. Bell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bell controlling from the top position. Bell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bell stops Silva from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bell moves into range and clinches up with Silva. Bell is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Bell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt and Bell counters with a two punch combo. Bell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva gets caught flat footed, as Bell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bell working some strikes from top position. Bell gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bell has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Silva is trying to keep an underhook but Bell manages to get the takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bell thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bell is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Silva moves into full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Thaddeus Bell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
