Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Workman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Workman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Smash! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smash shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Workman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Workman is looking to stand up but Smash isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are working up against the cage. Workman manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Smash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smash drives through with a takedown into guard. Workman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Workman continues to stall. Workman keeping moving, preventing Smash from controlling successfully. Workman controlling Smash's posture. Smash prevents Workman from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smash looking to pass the guard. Workman pulls Smash in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Workman rushes Smash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Smash ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smash no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Workman lands a couple of elbows. Workman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smash works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smash looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Workman has picked Smash up and slammed him! Smash can't keep hold of the triangle and Workman manages to pass to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smash tries to bench press Workman off him but Workman keeps the position. Workman scores with a couple of short elbows. Workman working away. Smash is trying to get back to half guard. Workman cracks Smash with a big right hand but Smash just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smash is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Workman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Smash actively working from the bottom here. Smash kicks off Workman and gets to his feet. Joe Smash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Workman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Smash did well to prevent Workman getting side control. Smash is trying to maintain the position but Workman is very close to passing his half guard. Smash looks winded! Smash tries to get to full guard but Workman has control of the leg. Workman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Workman drops an elbow to the side of Smash's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smash trying to control but Workman postures up.
Smash is looking for a sweep. Workman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smash is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Workman jumps into side control! Workman working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Workman lands some shots froms side control. Workman grinds an elbow into Smash's temple. Workman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smash to see if he's OK. Workman decides to stand back up. Workman steps back and let's Smash get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Workman closes the distance and clinches up with Smash, looking for a takedown. Workman pushes Smash against the cage but Smash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Workman dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Smash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Workman blocks a jab. Smash instigates a clinch. Smash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Frankie Workman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Workman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smash has taken the fight to the clinch.
Workman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Workman is trying to pull guard but Smash turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smash gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Workman regains guard.
Workman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Workman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Frankie Workman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smash must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Smash wants to stand but Workman is controlling his posture from full guard. Smash trying to control but Workman is working from the bottom. Smash throws an elbow that misses. Workman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smash's guard. Nice move by Workman!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smash working for a triangle but Workman defends it easily.
Workman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Workman trying to stand up but can't free himself from Smash's guard. Smash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Workman is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Workman lands a couple of elbows. Workman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Workman connects with a nice short shot to Smash's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smash trying to hold on to Workman's head to control him but Workman postures up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Workman lands a nice short elbow. Workman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Workman misses with a takedown and Smash counters with a lovely shot to the body. Workman is looking to clinch. Smash throws a nice outside leg kick. Nice sprawl there from Smash as Workman shoots in. No luck for Workman with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frankie Workman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smash thows a body kick. Workman tries to catch it but that hurt him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smash fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Smash has Workman up against the cage in a clinch.

Workman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Smash gets a double leg takedown into Workman's guard. Workman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Workman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smash defends well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smash pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Workman is keeping the position for now. Smash stops Workman from standing up. Workman wants to sweep but no luck. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Workman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Workman wants to stand and escape but Smash is having none of it. Workman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Workman shoots in and drives through. Smash sprawls well. Workman dives in and scores a takedown into Smash's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Workman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Smash working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Workman. Smash has an active guard here but Workman has managed to pass into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Workman cracks Smash with an elbow. That is naaassty. Smash trying to control but Workman flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Smash is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Smash changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Workman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Workman is trying to get back to his feet. Smash tries to move into full mount but can't pass Workman's legs. Workman throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Smash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Workman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
