Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato scores with a shot to the body.
Sato throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've been told by Sato's head coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sato lands a really nice looking cross but Brown seems unphased.
Brown tries for a takedown but Sato circles away easily
and Sato counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Brown scores with a takedown into Sato's guard.
Sato wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Brown works over Sato with some ground and pound from guard.
Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sato is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sato, up you get!

Sato closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage.

Sato lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Brown or not.
Brown has Sato pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sato manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Sato finish him?
Brown has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sato avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sato lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Brown to his knees! Sato keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ryosuke Sato was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
