Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Staartjes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ysly Abysal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hans Staartjes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ysly Abysal! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staartjes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Abysal working a defensive guard but Staartjes manages to pass into side control anyway.
Abysal is not content to let Staartjes control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abysal trying his best to control but Staartjes has mounted him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Staartjes trying to control but Abysal is having none of it. Abysal is looking to improve his position but Staartjes isn't that keen on the idea. Staartjes controlling from mount. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Staartjes doesn't have the hooks in and Abysal manages to turn into his guard.
Staartjes is breathing heavily. Abysal pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Staartjes is keeping the position for now. Staartjes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Abysal trying to control but Staartjes is working from the bottom. Staartjes striking off his back but it's not causing Abysal any problems. Staartjes looking for a guillotine here but Abysal defends easily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Staartjes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Abysal but Abysal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Abysal takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The ref calls for Staartjes to stand up. Staartjes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Abysal counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hans Staartjes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.Abysal controlling from the top position. Staartjes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Staartjes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Abysal looking for a guillotine here but Staartjes defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Abysal shoots in and bounces Staartjes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Abysal content to stall in guard here. Staartjes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Abysal manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Staartjes trying to control but Abysal is working from the bottom. Abysal pulls Staartjes in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hans Staartjes. I think Staartjes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
