The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kenshin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Garcia is fending him off so far but kenshin persists. Nope, Garcia circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for kenshin with that takedown attempt.
Garcia shoots in looking for a takedown. kenshin tries to sprawl out of it but Garcia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. kenshin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

kenshin shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. kenshin tries to avoid it but Garcia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag kenshin to the ground. kenshin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

kenshin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Garcia is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. kenshin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Garcia's back instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
kenshin has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Garcia! Can he survive? No! He's out! kenshin gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
