Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kessler tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kessler to the ground. Kessler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kessler wants to counter with a clinch but Diaz pushes him away.

Diego Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kessler's waist but Kessler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Kessler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Kessler closes the distance and clinches.
Diaz is trying to drag Kessler to the mat but Kessler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Diaz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kessler fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Kessler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kessler swivels and escapes.
Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Kessler has taken the fight into the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kessler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kessler is pushing Diaz up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kessler has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kessler digs a right hand into Diaz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Diaz's gas tank.
Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kessler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kessler will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Diaz up against the cage.
