Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Temoodschin Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Dirt! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan misses with a head kick.
Khan tries a head kick but it misses.
Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Dirt moves out of range easily. Dirt tries to counter with a clinch but Khan shakes him off and moves away. Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dirt's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dirt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Dirt throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khan misses with a leg kick and Dirt counters with a shoot takedown. Khan fights it but they end up in guard. Khan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dirt wants to pass the guard but Khan is keeping the position. Dirt prevents Khan from getting back to his feet. Dirt slips nicely into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dirt wants to pass to mount but Khan is defending the position. Khan pushes Dirt off looking to stand but Dirt dives back in and keeps control.
Dirt wants to control but Khan is keeping him busy. Khan looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt is trying to work for a kimura but Khan is defending well.

Dirt trying to mount his opponent but Khan defends it. Dirt prevents Khan from standing back up.
Dirt is looking to advance position but Khan won't allow it. Khan is trying to stand back up but Dirt is controlling him
Khan has one foot on Dirt's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Dirt has a takedown stuffed. Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Khan lands a big head kick that sends Dirt to the canvas! Khan follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Temoodschin Khan! An out of breath Temoodschin Khan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
