Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tuan Estrada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Condor Drago! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Estrada closes the distance and clinches. Estrada manages to pull guard.
Drago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Drago is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Estrada looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Drago passes easily into side control. Nice work. Drago goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Estrada has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Drago but great work by Estrada. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drago struggling a bit here. Drago manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Drago wants to work for an arm triangle but Estrada is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago stalling away here and it's allowed Estrada to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Drago drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Estrada dives on top into guard. Drago looking for a sweep. Not yet Drago, not yet. Drago is looking for a triangle but Estrada pushes his legs off easily.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Estrada drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Drago manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Estrada has Drago in his guard. Estrada keeping full guard, as Drago tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Estrada keeping moving, preventing Drago from controlling successfully. Drago is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Drago drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Estrada manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Drago has Estrada in his guard. Estrada slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drago is looking for a triangle but Estrada pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago looking to hit a scissor sweep but Estrada is one step ahead there. Estrada trying to control but Drago is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Drago is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Drago won't allow Estrada to sweep him here. Drago slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Drago has gone for a leg lock! Estrada slips out almost immediately though and dives into Drago's guard.
Drago is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A close round but Condor Drago will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Drago fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Estrada sprawls well initially but Drago persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Drago is taking a breather. Estrada says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Drago is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Estrada sees it coming and defends easily. Estrada wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drago is trying to control the action in half guard but Estrada is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drago passes the guard and advances to mount! Drago has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Drago looking to control but Estrada is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Estrada is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Estrada and Drago has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Drago is looking to take a break and control but Estrada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drago is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Estrada has escaped the position, nice work there. Drago tries to advance to mount but can't. Estrada is trying to escape the position but Drago is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Estrada gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Drago is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Estrada has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Estrada! Drago is breathing heavily. Estrada works over Drago with some ground and pound from guard. Estrada preventing the sweep. Estrada stands and throws Drago's legs to the side, diving into side control. Estrada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drago keeps working. Drago is looking to reverse the position. Estrada working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Estrada scores with a couple of short elbows. Drago is not content to let Estrada control the position. Drago manages to get back to half guard. Estrada is looking to take a break and control but Drago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drago is trying to control but can't.
Drago is staying active underneath Estrada, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Estrada is thwarting Drago's attempts to control the position.
