The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Midget looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carreon is fending him off so far but Midget persists. Nope, Carreon circles away and we're back to standing. Midget tries for a takedown but Carreon circles away easily and Carreon counters with a series of strikes. Midget will be more careful next time no doubt. Midget shoots in for a takedown but Carreon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jagger Carreon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Midget. Carreon cracks Midget with a right hand to the side of the head. Carreon lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Carreon lands with a shot to the body. Carreon jabs Midget to the body, keeping him at a distance. Danga de danga de dang - Carreon scores with a four punch combination! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A combination from Carreon does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Midget fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. As Midget looks to move away, Carreon throws a big counter combo but Midget just gets out of the way. Carreon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Midget moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Midget tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Carreon connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jagger Carreon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carreon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A decent looking cross lands there for Carreon. Carreon throws a series of punches but Midget avoids them all with ease. Midget is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Carreon digs a good hook to Midget's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Donk. Carreon catches Midget right on the button with a cross. Midget takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A punch lands to the side of Midget 's head but he takes it in his stride. Carreon connects with a right hand. Midget shakes it off. Carreon looks to land a combination. Midget sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Carreon connects with a body shot that sends Midget's belly button to the back. Carreon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carreon lands a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Midget misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've been told by Carreon's head coaches at Bonsai Club MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Carreon throws a nice looking combination but Midget bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Midget tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Carreon looks to land a combination. Midget sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Carreon is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Good exchange - Carreon coming out on top. Carreon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Midget slips a jab and a cross from Carreon.
Midget is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Midget fails to land the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jagger Carreon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Midget is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carreon. Carreon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Carreon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Midget shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carreon but Carreon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Carreon is looking to counter the offense by Midget and move into the clinch. We've been informed that Midget has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Carreon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Midget. Jagger Carreon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Midget has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carreon finds it's way round the side to connect with Midget's head. Carreon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Midget with the counter takedown but Carreon avoids it easily. Nice uppercut there from Carreon.

Carreon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Midget can do to turn this around? Midget takes one to the chin there. Carreon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Midget is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carreon's half guard. Carreon is trying to control but can't.
Carreon is staying active underneath Midget, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carreon tries to kick Midget off but Midget keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Carreon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Midget. Carreon is defending against the submission attempts here by Midget.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Midget is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Midget is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carreon has managed to free his arm - good work. Midget is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carreon defends it well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Carreon is trying to stand back up but Midget is controlling him
