Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rothstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erkki Heimolainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rothstein comes to the cage accompanied by Enter The Ninja. Erkki Heimolainen struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimolainen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rothstein moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rothstein scores with a head kick.
Rothstein lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Good exchange - Heimolainen coming out on top.
Rothstein fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rothstein connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Heimolainen to the floor! Rothstein dives in looking for the finish!
Heimolainen is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rothstein lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Heimolainen quite badly. Heimolainen pulls Rothstein in close trying to recover. Rothstein postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Heimolainen on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Heimolainen doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Rothstein!
