Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rey Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Reulas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rey Rio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Reulas! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reulas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rio fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Reulas to the ground. Rio is now in Reulas's guard. Rio avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rio is looking to stand up but Reulas won't let him. Rio trying to control the position from guard on top but Reulas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reulas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reulas pulls Rio in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rio wants to stand but Reulas is controlling his posture from full guard. Rio in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rio slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rio drives through with a takedown into guard. Reulas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rio defends it easily. Rio's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rio wants to stand but Reulas is controlling his posture from full guard. Rio wants to pass the guard but Reulas is keeping the position. Rio connects with a couple of short punches. Rio is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reulas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Reulas wants to take a breather but Rio is having none of it. Rio is trying to maintain the position but Reulas is very close to passing his half guard. Reulas is looking for a kimura but Rio is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reulas to get the leverage. Reulas tries to pass to full mount but Rio defends it. Rio wants to control but Reulas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reulas is trying to control. Rio wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. That's four minutes gone in the round. Reulas seems to be looking for submissions.
Reulas is keen to just control but Rio is a slippery customer. Rio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rio looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rio wants it to stay on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rio scores with a decent looking hook. Reulas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rio throws a counter high kick but Reulas was just alert enough to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rey Rio dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rio dives in and scores a takedown into Reulas's guard. Rio's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rey Rio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rio wants to control from the top but Reulas keeps moving. Reulas looking for a guillotine here but Rio defends easily.

Rio controls from within his opponent's guard. Rio is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reulas can do to turn this around? Reulas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reulas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rio is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reulas. Rio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rio lands a few punches from side control. Rio wants to stand but Reulas is controlling his arm. Reulas tries to improve position but can't. Rio advances to full mount. Reulas is looking to improve his position but Rio isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rio trying to control but Reulas is having none of it. Rio controlling his opponent. Rio looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rio avoids the attempt from Reulas to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rio controlling the pace for now. The referee warns Reulas that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Reulas is trying to escape the mount.
Rio landing strikes, looking to finish! Rio wants to control the pace but Reulas is squirming around nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reulas is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rey Rio dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Rio misses with a shot to the body and Reulas counters with a shoot takedown. Rio fights it but they end up in guard. Rio keeping moving, preventing Reulas from controlling successfully. Rio working a defensive guard here.

Rio wants to get back to his feet. Rio keeping hold of Reulas's head, controlling as best he can. Reulas content to control rather than advance. Reulas tries to pass to full mount but Rio defends it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rio seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rio trying to control but Reulas is working from the bottom. Rio is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Reulas is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rio is in close to Reulas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Reulas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rio pushes down on Reulas's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reulas is looking to control Rio's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reulas avoid being mounted? Reulas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reulas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rio. Reulas actively working from the bottom here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alexandre Reulas. Well Rio has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
