The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Berg looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Velli defending well as Berg loads up on a big left hand.
Velli lands a jab to Berg's midsection.
Velli connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Stig Berg has been cut.
Velli lands the left hand.
Berg swings widly with a right hand
and Velli counters with a crisp right hand that drops Berg! Velli lets Berg back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Berg is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Berg misses with a hook.
Velli avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Velli. That snapped Berg's head back.
A big left from Berg misses.
Berg connects with a right hand. Velli shakes it off.
It looks like Kuivattu Velli has been cut.
Velli bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Velli ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Berg walks into a stiff left hand from Velli.
Velli connects with a jab.
Berg is still on wobbly legs! Can Velli finish him?
That has opened up Stig Berg's cut even more.
Velli drops Berg with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Berg! Velli dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
