Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake has chosen blink 182 feeling this as his entrance music. Sam Blake has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wanderlei Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Blake! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kang moves into the clinch. Kang is trying to push Blake away but Blake has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kang tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blake smiles and moves away.
Kang pushes Blake up against the cage in a clinch. Blake blocks an elbow strike. Kang jumps into guard, dragging Blake to the mat.
Blake is looking to work some ground and pound but Kang has wrist control. Blake throwing strikes but missing. Kang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Blake stands up over Kang, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blake on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blake throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Blake wants to pass the guard but Kang is keeping the position. Blake lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blake throws a big elbow that misses. Blake prevents Kang from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blake distracts Kang with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Blake with a nice head shot there. Blake postures up and lands a big shot to Kang's brow. Kang wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Blake is now in half guard. Blake missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Blake lands a nice short elbow. Kang wants to get back to full guard. Kang tries to kick Blake off but Blake keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kang on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kang tries to get out of the position. Blake blocks the strikes from Kang.
Kang has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Blake is on him like a limpet, forcing Kang back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kang jumps into guard, dragging Blake to the mat.
Kang is breathing heavily. Blake working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kang looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Blake cracks Kang with a solid left hand. Blake distracts Kang with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kang wants to sweep but no luck. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blake is in close to Kang's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kang preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Blake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blake distracts Kang with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Blake loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kang is trying to keep Blake in close.
Blake chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Blake throws a big elbow that misses. Blake throwing strikes but missing. Blake prevents Kang from getting back to his feet. Kang is striking but Blake is not phased and passes to half guard. Blake lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Blake lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kang wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blake connects with a nice short shot to Kang's temple. Kang wants to improve his position but Blake is controlling well.
Kang throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Blake working the head and body with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blake winds up and cracks Kang with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kang taking some punishment here, with Blake in his half guard. Kang kicks off Blake and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Blake dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kang rushes Blake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short right from Kang. Blake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Blake jumps into guard, dragging Kang to the mat.
Kang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blake swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kang has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Blake to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kang is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Blake pulls down on the head and he's put Kang to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sam Blake!
