Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Hofman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mickey Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan shoots and misses
and Hofman counters with a nice uppercut.
Sullivan shoots in but Hofman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mickey Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sullivan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Adam Hofman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Sullivan.

Sullivan gets a double leg takedown into Hofman's guard.
Hofman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sullivan on the ground.
Sullivan wants to pass the guard but Hofman is keeping the position.
Hofman is looking to stand up but Sullivan isn't so interested in that idea.
Hofman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hofman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hofman wants to get back to his feet but Sullivan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sullivan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sullivan.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hofman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sullivan asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Sullivan tries for a kimura but Hofman is defending well.
Sullivan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hofman keeps working.
Hofman tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Sullivan working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
You get the feeling that Hofman really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Sullivan has control of Hofman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hofman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hofman tries to buck Sullivan off but he can't manage it.

Sullivan has isolated one of Hofman's arms. Hofman looking to fight him off but Sullivan twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mickey Sullivan!
A very excited looking Mickey Sullivan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
