Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalyan Kumar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azelja Kajin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalyan Kumar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Azelja Kajin! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kumar misses with a hook. A telegraphed right hand from Kumar misses the target. Kajin blocks a jab. Kajin moves out of range of the strikes. Kumar throws a right hand that Kajin ducks under and follows up with a left that Kajin also avoids with ease. Kajin throws a head kick but Kumar moves out of range.
Kumar lands with a nice body punch. Kumar misses with a series of wild punches.
A punch combination from Kumar misses. Kumar misses with an uppercut. Kumar scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kumar throws the left hand but Kajin avoids the punch easily. A chopping leg kick lands by Kajin. Kumar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kumar missing with a left hand there. Kajin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kajin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kumar. Good standup being displayed there by Kumar as he connects with a hook. Kajin is looking to clinch. Kumar keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kumar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kajin moves away. Kumar misses the jab. Kumar is breathing heavily. Kajin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kumar throws a series of punches but Kajin avoids them all with ease. Kajin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kumar pinned against the cage. Kumar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kumar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kajin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kumar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kajin lands a jab to the nose. A head kick misses from Kajin. Kajin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kajin looks for a takedown but Kumar sprawls well. Kalyan Kumar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azelja Kajin. Kajin tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kajin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kumar! Kajin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kumar is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kajin is standing up, even though he is in mount. Kajin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kumar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kajin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kajin is looking to clinch but Kumar is avoiding it.
Kalyan Kumar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kumar throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kumar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kajin moves into the clinch. Kajin goes for a takedown attempt but Kumar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kumar thows a left - swing and a miss! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kajin, as that shot connected.
Kajin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fighters circling - Kumar throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big left from Kumar misses. Kalyan Kumar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kumar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kajin. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kajin dodges the punch combination from Kumar.
Kajin fakes the leg kick and cracks Kumar in the body. Kumar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azelja Kajin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kumar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kajin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kumar misses with a straight right. Kajin swings for the body but Kumar moves out of range.

It looks like Kalyan Kumar has been cut. Kumar swings for the body but Kajin moves out of range.
Kajin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kumar moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kumar falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kajin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Kajin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kumar's guard. Kumar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kajin. Kumar wants to hit a switch here but Kajin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kumar there! Kumar is in a horrible position here. Kajin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kajin trying to control but Kumar is having none of it. Kajin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kumar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kumar tries to reverse the position but Kajin maintains control. Kajin unloads with some shots from mount but Kumar bucks and avoids them well.
Kumar is squirming around, avoiding Kajin's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kajin controlling the position easily from mount. The referee warns Kumar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kajin wants to control the pace but Kumar is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kajin throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kajin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kumar tries to reverse the position but Kajin maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azelja Kajin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kalyan Kumar's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kajin tries to land a knee to the head but Kumar blocks with his arms.
Kajin lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Kumar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Kumar stuffs the takedown attempt from Kajin. Kajin gets slowly back to his feet. Kumar misses with a straight right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kumar misses with a looping left. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kajin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kumar. Kumar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kajin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kumar. Kajin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kumar is fending him off so far but Kajin persists. Nope, Kumar circles away and we're back to standing. Kumar is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Kajin fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kajin shoots for a takedown but Kumar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kalyan Kumar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azelja Kajin. Kumar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kumar misses the jab. Kalyan Kumar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kumar takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kajin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kajin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kajin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kumar.
Kumar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kajin feints and then cracks Kumar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kumar down. Kajin connects with a single shot there. Kajin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kumar keeping moving, preventing Kajin from controlling successfully. Kalyan Kumar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kajin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kajin slips nicely into half guard. Kajin is stalling here. Kumar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kajin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kumar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kajin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kumar off and has taken his back! Kumar is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Kajin is riding his opponent, not letting Kumar buck him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kajin scores with punches from the back.
Kajin controls the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kumar wants to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Azelja Kajin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kajin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
