Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mookie Blaylock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 48 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Blaylock lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takahashi doesn't seem phased though.
A lazy left from Blaylock finds it's target.
Takahashi lands with a good body shot.
Takahashi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Takahashi ducks straight into an uppercut from Blaylock and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Takahashi manages to regain guard straight away.

Blaylock sitting in guard here, content to control.
Takahashi is still in real trouble! Can Blaylock finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blaylock throws a big right hand that misses.
Takahashi seems to have recovered his senses.
Takahashi has Blaylock pulled in close to control his posture.
Blaylock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Takahashi managing to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blaylock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Blaylock trying to control the position from guard on top but Takahashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Takahashi has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Flower Power Pillow Fighters Training Center. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Blaylock won't allow Takahashi to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blaylock scores with a hook.
Takahashi misses with an uppercut. Blaylock saw that one coming.
Blaylock is looking to land body kicks.
Takahashi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Takahashi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Blaylock does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Takahashi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Blaylock connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Takahashi out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mookie Blaylock!
