Steamboat comes to the cage accompanied by Lorde - Tennis Court. Ricky Steamboat has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Steamboat! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nasser El Sonbaty! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steamboat fails to land the takedown. Steamboat seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. El Sonbaty with a body punch. A glancing blow. El Sonbaty shoots in but Steamboat avoids the takedown attempt easily. Steamboat leaves El Sonbaty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Steamboat shoots in and gets a takedown into El Sonbaty's guard. El Sonbaty had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steamboat defends it easily. El Sonbaty working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steamboat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steamboat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steamboat working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Steamboat working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of El Sonbaty's head. Steamboat postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Steamboat with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steamboat is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Steamboat won't allow El Sonbaty to sweep him here. El Sonbaty wants to stand up but Steamboat is controlling him. El Sonbaty has his foot on Steamboat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Steamboat works his way back into a safe position though. Steamboat is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. El Sonbaty keeping full guard, as Steamboat tries to pass. Steamboat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. El Sonbaty looking for a guillotine here but Steamboat defends easily.
El Sonbaty is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Steamboat defends well. Steamboat working some strikes from top position. El Sonbaty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. El Sonbaty looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steamboat with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. El Sonbaty is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Steamboat has managed to free his arm - good work. Steamboat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

El Sonbaty landing some decent shots from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! El Sonbaty content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Steamboat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but El Sonbaty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's three minutes gone in the round. El Sonbaty scoring with some ground and pound. El Sonbaty stands up over Steamboat, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Steamboat throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

El Sonbaty with a flurry of punches that miss. Steamboat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. El Sonbaty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. El Sonbaty postures up and lands a big shot to Steamboat's brow. Steamboat has his feet on El Sonbaty's thighs here. He's pushed El Sonbaty off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! El Sonbaty screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
