Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Doll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Doll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake John! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Doll shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Doll showed some decent athleticism there. John has one foot on Doll's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Doll fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but John avoids it really well and circles away. John steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Doll. Doll fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with John, pushing him back against the cage. Doll gets underhooks to prevent John's takedown attempt.
John goes for a takedown in the clinch but Doll prevents it.
John is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Doll is keeping busy.

Thomas Doll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake John. Doll pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Doll has a takedown stuffed. Doll tries a head kick but it misses.
Doll instigates a clinch. John is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Doll pulls him back up using the underhooks. John drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Doll gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Doll wants to stand up but John is controlling the position.
Doll content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. John has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doll is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doll with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Doll moves nicely into side control. Doll stands up and we're back to a striking position. John has his takedown stuffed and Doll counters with a thumping low kick. John looks winded! John closes the distance and clinches up with Doll, looking for a takedown. John pushes Doll against the cage but Doll circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Doll pushes John up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doll scores with an uppercut up the middle. Doll's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Doll shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with John but John pushes him off and we're back to square one. Doll shoots in for a takedown but John shows good takedown defense. John lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Doll instigates a clinch. Doll breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
John tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doll swivels and escapes. Doll closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. John quickly recovers to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doll with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Doll dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Doll drives through with a takedown into guard. Doll seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. John is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doll looking to pass the guard. Doll is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that John can do to turn this around? Doll is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doll has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of John is proving hard to escape from. Doll slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Doll has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. John displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. John fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doll throws a big counter combination but John scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Doll tries to sprawl but John drives through with a takedown into half guard. John is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John is keen to just control but Doll is a slippery customer. Doll makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Doll. Thomas Doll overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Doll is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Doll manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. John manages to get himself to full guard.
Doll controls from within his opponent's guard. John escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doll gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doll is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Doll controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Doll advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Doll is working for a submission of some sort.
Doll is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Doll is trying to work for a kimura but John is defending well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! John trying to control here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Doll dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Doll has managed to clinch.
Doll jumps guard and drags John to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. John sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Doll's guard. Nice strikes from John there. Doll is staying active underneath John, who seems content to just control the action from this position. John stands up and beckons Doll to join him on the feet. Doll fails to land the takedown. John steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Doll. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Doll counters with a nice uppercut. John takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. John throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doll's waist but Doll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing John off to one side. Doll is looking to counter the offense by John and move into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doll misses the jab. John displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Doll. Thomas Doll is winning the standup battle so far. Doll closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Doll lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Doll is trying to work for a single leg takedown but John pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Doll. That's going to take a lot out of him. John is trying to break free. Doll pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doll trying to control the position here. Doll is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst John is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John trying to control but Doll is working from the bottom. Doll looking to hit a scissor sweep but John is one step ahead there. John wants to control from the top but Doll keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doll throws his legs up looking for a submission but John uses it to pass to side control.
Doll is working to avoid the ground and pound but John connects with a decent elbow. Doll tries to bench press John off him but John keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doll can't do much from the bottom here. What's Doll going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Doll is trying to control John's posture but John avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. John is looking to take a break and control but Doll is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Doll gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Doll regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Doll showed his dominance in that final round. Well Doll has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Thomas Doll wins by unanimous decision! A very excited looking Thomas Doll rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
