Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Eggman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Gomaz! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eggman misses with a wild combination.
Eggman gets a takedown into half guard. Eggman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eggman wants to pass the guard but Gomaz is defending well. Eggman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Eggman stands up and beckons Gomaz to join him on the feet. Gomaz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Gomaz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Eggman. Gomaz misses with a combination
and Eggman moves into the clinch. Gomaz is trying to break the clinch but Eggman is controlling him. Eggman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gomaz blocks a head kick by Eggman.

Eggman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eggman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Eggman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gomaz's guard. Eggman is stalling in the full guard. Eggman wants to pass the guard but Gomaz is keeping the position. Eggman stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Gomaz has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Eggman manages to get his head free but now Gomaz has transitioned to an armbar! Eggman grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gomaz! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
