The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CyMike misses with a wild combination.
CyMike throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Issac CyMike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
CyMike throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
CyMike throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
CyMike throws a jab when Thomas was well out of range.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown but CyMike shows good takedown defense.
CyMike just misses with a punch to the body.
Thomas keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from CyMike.
CyMike throws a looping overhand right but Thomas ducks down to avoid it.

CyMike tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thomas was well out of range. Poor timing from CyMike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
CyMike throws a hook but Thomas avoids it easily.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with CyMike but CyMike pushes him off and we're back to square one.

CyMike throws a right hand that Thomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Thomas also avoids with ease.

Thomas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but CyMike is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

CyMike wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Thomas lands a few punches from side control.
CyMike is looking for a sweep.
CyMike is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
CyMike is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

CyMike manages to work his way to half guard, despite Thomas's best efforts.
CyMike is looking to get back to full guard here but Thomas has managed to pass to side control instead.
CyMike is trying to reverse the position but instead Thomas has taken his back - oops!

CyMike gets caught flat footed, as Thomas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

CyMike is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Thomas locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! CyMike is forced to tap!
