Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Malakai Semerkhet and Bastyn Dall. Semerkhet comes into the arena with راقصة صغيرة blaring out of the sound system. Dall has chosen Beast as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Malakai Semerkhet has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Malakai Semerkhet seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Malakai Semerkhet! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Bastyn Dall!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Semerkhet swats away the attempt to clinch by Dall.
Dall gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Semerkhet gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dall is trying to pull guard but Semerkhet has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Semerkhet swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dall won't allow Semerkhet to sweep him here.
Semerkhet has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dall is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Semerkhet has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dall is looking to defend but Semerkhet has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dall! Semerkhet pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dall taps out and this one is all over!

Malakai Semerkhet decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
