Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Nathan Silver and The Sigit. Sigit has chosen Gie as his entrance music. Nathan Silver is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Nathan Silver! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 5 losses; The Sigit! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Sigit shoots in and drives through. Silver sprawls well. Sigit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silver as he avoids it easily. Sigit clinches up against the cage. Silver drags the fight down to the ground.
Silver is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sigit wants to pass the guard but Silver is keeping the position. Sigit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sigit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sigit tries to free his leg and advance position but Silver is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silver keeping moving, preventing Sigit from controlling successfully. Sigit postures up.
Sigit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silver swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sigit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sigit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sigit slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Silver (0) vs (3) Sigit Sigit moves into full mount! Score +2 for reaching mount: Silver (0) vs (5) Sigit Silver might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sigit avoids the attempt from Silver to control. Sigit goes for an armbar but Silver turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silver. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Silver (2) vs (5) Sigit Silver is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sigit has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Silver is looking to defend but Sigit has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Silver! Sigit pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Silver taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). The Sigit! The Sigit took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title. |
