Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jason Vor and Coyote Starrk. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jason Vor! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Coyote Starrk! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Vor wants to clinch up but Starrk keeps it at a distance. Starrk is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Starrk rushes Vor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Starrk decides to pull guard. Starrk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Starrk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Starrk has Vor pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vor stays in close to Starrk's body and controls the position. Starrk working for a triangle but Vor defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vor is adopting a defensive guard. Vor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Starrk defends well. Starrk is pushing down on Vor's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vor is fighting to maintain full guard but Starrk has managed to sneak the leg through. Starrk is taking a breather. Vor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Starrk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Vor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vor trying to get back to full guard but Starrk takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Vor (0) vs (5) Starrk
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starrk controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vor is looking to get to half guard. Starrk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Starrk tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Vor tries to reverse the position but Starrk maintains control. Starrk trying to control but Vor is having none of it. Starrk takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Vor staying busy and making it hard for Starrk to control. Starrk biding his time, controlling Vor. Vor trying to control the hands but Starrk breaks the grip. Vor is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Starrk.

Vor tries to improve position but can't.

Let's hope that Starrk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Vor is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Good control from Starrk.
