Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Adam Bastien and William Dewey. Bastien kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Started From The Bottom. Man, I cannot wait for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Adam Bastien! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; William Dewey! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Dewey clinches up against the cage. Bastien changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dewey fights it off and pushes away nicely.
William Dewey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bastien tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dewey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dewey closes the distance and clinches. Bastien is pressed up against the cage. Dewey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bastien down to the mat. Bastien avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dewey takes the fight into the clinch. Dewey has clasped his hands together around Bastien's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dewey controlling the position from side mount. Dewey tries for a kimura but Bastien is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dewey is trying to get an arm triangle but Bastien is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastien tries to bench press Dewey off him but Dewey keeps the position. Dewey advances nicely into full mount. Dewey is working for a guillotine from mount but Bastien frees his head quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dewey fails to advance to Bastien's back. Bastien is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

I really don't envy Bastien right now.
What can Bastien do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Bastien trying to control but not successfully. Dewey is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Bastien is defending well though. Dewey let's go of the attempt for now. Bastien rolls, trying to escape but Dewey keeps control of the position.
Dewey has good solid back control here. Bastien fending off the submission attempt from Dewey.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Dewey has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Bastien is in real trouble here. Dewey gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Bastien is tapping out! Dewey wins by rear naked choke!
