Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Corden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rock Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mountain has managed to clinch.
Corden misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Corden fails to land.
Mountain slowing the pace effectively.
The referee calls for Corden to work.
Mountain tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mountain blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Corden controlling the action here for a moment.
Mountain working aggressively here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mountain lands a body shot.
Mountain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Corden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Corden swats away the attempt to clinch by Mountain.
Corden swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Corden misses the target.
Mountain fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mountain takes one to the side of the head.
Mountain misses with a takedown attempt
and Corden counters with a series of strikes. Mountain will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mountain tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Corden counters with a nice uppercut.

Mountain drives through and clinches with Corden against the cage.

Corden breaks the clinch.
Mountain showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Corden.
Corden scores with a body shot.
Mountain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Corden listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Mark Corden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Corden loads up on a big right hand but Mountain slips the punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Corden forces Mountain back against the cage and clinches.
Corden's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Corden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mountain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Corden pinned against the cage. Corden gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A quick step to the side and Corden tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mark Corden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Mountain.
Mountain moves in looking to clinch but Corden pushes him off.
Corden misses with a body shot.
Mountain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mountain is looking to clinch.
Mountain wants to clinch but Corden slips to the side
and Corden counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mountain darts in looking for a takedown but Corden gets double underhooks and turns Mountain into the cage.
Corden throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mountain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Corden slaps away a takedown attempt from Mountain, before circling back to the center of the mat.
An attempted straight right counter from Corden misses the target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Corden looks to score with a jab to the body but Mountain is just out of range.
Mountain throws a fast counter high kick but Corden manages to duck under it in time.

Mountain tries to keep at a distance but Corden has taken the fight into the clinch.
Corden lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Corden lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Corden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Corden throws an off balance right hand
and Mountain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Corden shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mountain eats them both and turns towards Corden to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Mountain is rocked!
Mountain is holding his hands too far apart here. Corden throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Mountain is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mark Corden!
A very excited looking Mark Corden made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
