Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otis Whittaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Otis Whittaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paddy Walker! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
![](https://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/round1.jpg) The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Whittaker. Whittaker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Walker in his tracks. The fighters circle momentarily. Walker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Otis Whittaker has been cut. Walker throws a jab when Whittaker was well out of range.
Whittaker drops Walker with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Walker looks back up at him and smiles so Whittaker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Otis Whittaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker missing with a left hand there. Whittaker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Some wild striking there from Whittaker.
Walker is looking for the big counter here. A big left from Walker misses. Whittaker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Whittaker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Walker lands a slapping body shot.
Whittaker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walker swings for the body but Whittaker moves out of range.
Whittaker darts in and clinches Walker up against the cage. Whittaker tries to throw a body punch but Walker avoids it by throwing Whittaker back against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Whittaker.
Whittaker fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Walker presses Whittaker against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Whittaker manages to break the clinch.

Whittaker is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Walker moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paddy Walker! Paddy Walker made sure to mention his sponsor, Sully's Bar & Grill in his post fight interview. In defeat, Otis Whittaker stepped up to the mic, saying 'I felt the tingle, again. Congrats Theo and Ryan!'.
