The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herring gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Karasev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Karasev lands with a shot to the body.
Herring shoots in and gets a takedown into Karasev's guard.
Karasev has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Herring is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

In his post fight interview, Heath Herring started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
