The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Conor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fields's half guard.
O Conor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw O Conor working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
O Conor winds up and cracks Fields with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

O Conor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fields's head.
Fields is trying to get back to full guard.
O Conor wants to take a breather but Fields is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
O Conor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
O Conor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fields does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fields on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fields tries to get out of the position.
Oooooh, big shot lands for O Conor ! Fields is hurt baaadly! O Conor is firing away with more strikes - Fields is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
