Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James La Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Distor Centura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Centura has chosen 12 Stones - Bulletproof as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James La Grande! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Distor Centura! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Centura takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. La Grande throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. La Grande definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Centura will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
La Grande fails with a takedown attempt. Centura lands with a cross. La Grande missing with a left hand there. Centura was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. La Grande misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Grande takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice defenses there by La Grande. La Grande throws a head kick but Centura moves out of range.
La Grande throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Centura sees it coming and avoids it easily. It seemed like Centura was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Centura throws an overhand right that lands on La Grande's shoulder, as La Grande tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Centura throws a jab when La Grande was well out of range. La Grande seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Centura ducks under a wild hook from La Grande. La Grande connects with a jab. Centura throws a jab but it's blocked by La Grande. A jab from Centura misses. La Grande swings and misses with a shot to the body and Centura counters with a nice low kick that buckles La Grande's knee momentarily. Centura thows a left - swing and a miss! Centura scores with a punch to the head. James La Grande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. La Grande slips a straight right by Centura. La Grande thows a left - swing and a miss! La Grande backing away here, and Centura unleashes a leg kick that just misses. La Grande misses with a straight right. La Grande goes for a double leg but Centura avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Centura continues to drive forward. A looping hook to the body misses from La Grande. Centura does a little dance to reset his feet. A cross from Centura lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Grande displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Centura throws out the jab. La Grande changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. La Grande slips under a jab. Centura cracks La Grande with a good jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Centura jabbing away but nothing is landing. La Grande tries a head kick but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Centura seems keen to control La Grande's posture. La Grande pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Centura is keeping the position for now. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Centura holds on and takes a little breather. La Grande trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Centura manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. La Grande manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. La Grande wants to sweep but no luck. Centura scoring with punches to the head and body. La Grande working for a triangle but Centura defends it easily.
Centura working some strikes from top position. Centura landing some decent shots from guard. La Grande is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Centura is aware though and is defending well. La Grande will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Centura postures up.
La Grande keeping full guard, as Centura tries to pass. Centura got a little sloppy there for a moment and La Grande has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Centura has managed to get both his arms back between La Grande's legs - danger averted. Centura postures up and lands a big shot to La Grande's brow. Centura with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. La Grande has momentary wrist control but Centura slips an elbow through the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Distor Centura dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
La Grande throws a chopping leg kick but Centura manages to avoid taking any serious damage. La Grande just misses with a punch to the body.

He thinks about going to the ground but La Grande looks back up at him and smiles so Centura waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
La Grande is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. La Grande uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Centura. That's one minute gone in the round. La Grande works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Centura defending well as La Grande loads up on a big left hand. A solid leg kick lands there for Centura.

La Grande misses with a takedown and Centura counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James La Grande. That's going to take a lot out of him. La Grande checks a leg kick. Horrible takedown attempt by La Grande or perhaps it was just good defense by Centura, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Centura throws a hook to the side of La Grande's head but La Grande sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. La Grande closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Centura to the mat! Centura manages to get full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! La Grande throws a strike but Centura rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. La Grande keeping moving, preventing Centura from controlling successfully. Centura must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. La Grande is looking for a triangle but Centura pushes his legs off easily.
James La Grande overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. La Grande looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Centura thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Centura lands a couple of elbows. Centura scores with a decent looking elbow strike. La Grande is trying to keep Centura in close.
Centura trying to control but La Grande is working from the bottom. Centura controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Centura pushes down on La Grande's leg and manages to get into half guard. Centura is pressing down on La Grande's thigh, looking to free his foot. La Grande is holding on for now. La Grande is staying active underneath Centura, who seems content to just control the action from this position. La Grande is looking to control Centura's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can La Grande avoid being mounted? La Grande is concentrating on defense, preventing Centura from advancing position. Centura takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Centura is nestled in close to La Grande, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Centura is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Centura scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Centura seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Centura is nestled in close to La Grande, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Oh La Grande is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Centura lands with a punch from half guard. Centura lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt La Grande quite badly. La Grande pulls Centura in close trying to recover. Centura postures up and lands two really hard shots that put La Grande on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but La Grande doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Distor Centura! Distor Centura is the new welterweight champion! Distor Centura decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
