The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in BAM's guard.
BAM utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Richardson lands a couple of digs.
Richardson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Richardson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Richardson distracts BAM with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Richardson is pushing down on BAM's leg trying to pass to half guard. BAM is fighting to maintain full guard but Richardson has managed to sneak the leg through.

BAM is looking to control Richardson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can BAM avoid being mounted?

Richardson cracks BAM with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Richardson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

BAM can't escape the position.
Richardson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, BAM has managed to escape the submission attempt.
BAM is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Richardson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
BAM flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

so Richardson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Richardson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. BAM swivels though and keeps the full guard.

BAM is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Richardson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Richardson has gone for a leg lock! BAM slips out almost immediately though and dives into Richardson's guard.

Richardson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
BAM sizes up Richardson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice straight punches there by BAM. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of BAM.
Richardson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Richardson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. BAM manages to get himself to full guard.

Richardson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! BAM is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Richardson, into his guard.

BAM is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Richardson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think BAM should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Richardson has tightened it up now! BAM should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
