PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conan Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conan Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 25 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Moore!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa throws a leg kick but Moore moved away.
Balboa moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMoore.
Balboa misses with a leg kick
and Moore makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Balboa throws a right hand that Moore ducks under and follows up with a left that Moore also avoids with ease.

and Moore counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moore.
Balboa wants to stand up but Moore is controlling him.
Moore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Moore postures up and lands a big shot to Balboa's brow.
Moore is working Balboa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Moore has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Moore won't allow Balboa to get back to his feet.
Moore is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Moore postures up and lands a big shot to Balboa's brow.

Balboa is rocked!

Moore seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Oh Balboa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Balboa seems to have got his legs back now.
Moore content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Balboa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moore is controlling him.
Moore slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Balboa is looking to stand back up but Moore counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Balboa.

Moore stops Balboa from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Still in half guard, Moore seems content to control.
It looks like Moore might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Let's hope that Moore has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Balboa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moore on the ground.
Moore winds up and cracks Balboa with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ground and pound from Moore.
Moore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Balboa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moore lands a big elbow - Balboa is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Moore!
